I have just noticed that I appear to have made one post per day on this blog so far this month.

I would just like to assure you that I am not intending to post one new item per day in future and am not making any deliberate attempt to do so. I simply do not have the mental capacity to come up with entertaining and inventive content at that sort of rate.

Or any sort of rate.

To that end, there will not be a post on skipped gear today.

Thank you.

Oh well.

Apparently, as well as the annual NaNoWriMo thing –attempting to write a whole 50,000 word novel in the month of November– there is also a NaBloPoMo, which is a challenge to write a new blog entry each day for a month. Some may think that doing either is a bit mad. Like me for example. But blogging friend James, from James Proclaims, is attempting both. At the same time.

As it happens, I would have time to do this sort of thing, given that I am currently a freelance WoFroHo sort of chap. That takes about an hour every day, if I can stretch it out a bit. But James has a full time job and a toddler, so this seems to be ambitious. Probably something that a Minister might call ‘an aspiration’.

Again, I will assure you that I’m not attempting either. However, now I’m here –and if there’s anyone reading this, you might be there– if you click the above orangey text link, it’ll take you to James’ initial post and then you can follow how it’s going from there. He has turned off commenting on his posts to try to cut down on the distraction of answering them, but you can still like the posts to show some support.

You could also like this one, to show support for me too, but as I’ve already made very clear, I’m really not actually doing anything. I’m not even publishing a post today.
